Loris Karius, the liverpool goalkeeper, will be out for two months

Loris Karius the Liverpool goalkeeper has broken his hand while punching his own player.

The £4.7million signing from Mainz was expected to start the looming season as the Reds ‘ new No 1,his now going to be out of action for a minimum two months.

Karius suffered the injury during the friendly match against Chelsea in Pasadena on Wednesday night, when attempting to clear a cross and instead slammed his fist into the head of team-mate Dejan Lovren.

The German player broke a bone in his hand when he connected with the Croatian defender’s bonce and, after a scan in the States, doctors report stated he will be under going a surgery.
