Buhari is corrupt

By Chikezie Omeje
What’s corruption?
“Corruption is dishonesty and illegal behaviour by people in positions of authority or power” – BBC dictionary.
There are different types of corruption. Stealing public fund is the commonest example of corruption in Nigeria. When an avarage Nigerian say that you are corrupt, he or she is saying that you have stolen money that belongs to government or an institution.
There are other types of corruption that are as bad as stealing public fund. For example, when you bribe somebody to gain certain advantage.
Nepotism and incompetence are the worst form of corruption. For example, when you occupy a position that you are not qualified for or employ somebody who is not qualified for certain position because the person is your relative or comes frome tribe or religion. This is the worst form of corruption because the person occupying the position will not get the job done. By not doing the job effectively, the person jeopardizes the progress of the organization. The people who depend on this organization will begin to suffer because the organization is not making progress.
Corruption comes in different shades and colours. The corruption we have now in Nigeria is the deepest shade of red in the history of this country.
